Unveiling Whispers from Number 9: A Lost Play Emerges

A play was scheduled to open in 1958.
But the curtain never rose…
The writer vanished.
Only the title remained — Whispers from Number 9.

AUTHOR’ LEFT A NOTE:
“I wanted to write something not loud, but true — a silence you could feel between two people in armchairs. The war is over, but we are still rehearsing our goodbyes.”

In this immersive digital drama, piece together the old play so that the show can go on.

🎭 Reconstruct the Lost Script.
In this immersive digital drama by Lita Doolan, you become part of the mystery.
Uncover fragments. Rebuild scenes.
Let the ghost of the story speak —
and help the show go on.

A ghost whispers…

“We thought the story was over.
But it seems someone still wants to hear it.
Thank you for listening…”

“So memory lingers. And fragments remain. A lighting cue.
A forgotten line.
A teacup placed just so…”
Lost play scripts leaving audiences with the emotional weight carried in what remains unsaid are reminiscent of Rattigan’s ‘Separate Tables’. Pull up a chair, pour a cup of tea and sit back and listen carefully for the Whispers of Number 9. The stage is waiting.

    • Thank you. We are currently preparing ready for the start of the festival in September. It will be interesting to story tell in this way. Our thought is that playing with new ways of story delivery expands the horizon for one and all. If nothing more, it’s exciting to use new tech and experiment with the fresh possibility. Lovely to hear from you. Hope all is well.
